Etirza Eversley was charged with and convicted of manslaughter and felony child abuse arising out of the death of her infant son, Isaiah. In response to Eversley's motion for judgment of acquittal, the trial court overturned the jury's verdict of manslaughter and reduced the child abuse conviction to a misdemeanor.
