OPINION

BUCKINGHAM, Judge.

Roman Catholic Diocese of Covington (the Diocese) appeals from a judgment of the Kenton Circuit Court awarding John Secter (Secter) $50,000 in compensatory damages and $700,000 in punitive damages for the negligent hiring, supervision, and retention of high school teacher and guidance counselor, Earl Bierman (Bierman). For the reasons set forth hereinafter, we affirm.
