Henry Lee Lucas was sentenced to death after being convicted of capital murder in Texas state court. Following affirmance of the conviction and sentence on direct appeal, Lucas filed three applications for habeas corpus relief in state court. After the denial of the final state application, Lucas filed his first application for habeas corpus relief in federal district court, setting out seventeen alleged errors that he contended warranted...
