The plaintiff, Sylvia H. McDonald ("Mrs. McDonald"), as life beneficiary of certain trusts and as assignee of the rights of the remainder beneficiaries of the trusts, brought suit against the trustees, the First National Bank of Boston (the "Bank"), Charles F. Hovey ("Hovey"),1 and Henry Guild ("Guild"), alleging mismanagement of the trusts' assets.2
