This appeal arises out of an action for damages.

BACKGROUND

In August, 1989, Leonard Stephens, a resident of Tifton, Georgia, purchased a 1987 Chevrolet S-10 pick-up truck and obtained financing from Citizens & Southern National Bank (C & S) in Tifton, Georgia.
