Plaintiffs-appellees Richard L. Marré (Marré) and Agritech Enterprises, Inc. (Agritech), Marré's wholly owned corporation, sued the United States (government) under 26 U.S.C. § 7431 of the Internal Revenue Code for wrongful disclosure of plaintiffs' tax return information. The district court awarded statutory damages and attorneys' fees to Marré but rejected Agritech's claim for damages and attorneys' fees. Plaintiffs...
