In this appeal and cross appeal we have for review the trial court's assessment of prejudgment interest and several rulings on the subject of attorney's fees. The appellant, Volkswagen of America Inc., argues that prejudgment interest should have been suspended during the period of time that it was not a party to the case, and that the trial court should not have used a multiplier to enhance the award of attorney's fees.
