In February 1996, plaintiff, Louis Wozniak, sued defendant, Thomas F. Conry, for tortious interference with an employment contract. In July 1996, the circuit court dismissed the complaint for lack of jurisdiction. The court ruled that because Conry's conduct arose solely out of conduct related to duties imposed on him by virtue of his job at the University of Illinois (University), a state institution...
