Joseph S. Hunter (Joseph) immigrated to the United States in 1924 and, over the next sixty years, amassed substantial assets. The present appeals concern the parties' dispute over the ownership of those assets: on the one side are Joseph's son and daughter; on the other are the children of Joseph's long-time bookkeeper, secretary, and, later, personal attendant, Marian McKeever (Marian).
