The defendant Gulf States Steel, Inc., appeals from a judgment on a jury verdict in which the jury awarded the plaintiff Payton Eugene Whisenant $400,000 in damages for pain and suffering, mental anguish, disfigurement, permanent disability and injury, and past lost wages.
