The defendant, Edward Kennerson, was charged by seven different bills of information with six counts of theft of a thing valued in excess of $500.00, violations of La.R.S. 14:67; five counts of theft of a thing valued at $100.00 or more but less than $500.00, violations of La.R.S. 14:67; and three counts of simple burglary, violations of La.R.S. 14:62.
