The plaintiffs have a money judgment against the Acadia Parish Police Jury for damages based on negligence. The judgment became final in 1993. Efforts to collect it have been unsuccessful. The plaintiffs filed a petition for a writ of mandamus in the district court of Acadia Parish to get the judgment paid.
