This is a defamation action brought by Gordon Trentecosta and his business corporation. The allegedly defamatory statements were made by Louisiana State Police officers to the press shortly after Trentecosta was arrested for violating La.Rev.Stat. 33:4861.1.21, the Charitable Raffles, Bingo and Keno Licensing Law.
