Defendant, Laurie C. Wilder Maschek, was charged by bill of information with two counts in violation of La. R.S. 40:966 A(1): production and manufacture of a controlled dangerous substance under schedule I (marijuana), and possession of a schedule I controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute (marijuana). Defendant entered a Crosby plea to both counts. The trial court sentenced her on each count to eight years at hard labor...
