Larry L. Humphreys (the "worker") was injured on April 29, 1995, while working as a truck driver for Elite Transportation Services (the "company"). On September 20, 1995, he sued for workers' compensation benefits, alleging that he had been permanently and totally disabled as a result of the on-the-job injury.
