STATEMENT OF THE CASE

Alfred Oliver was charged with one count of armed robbery, a violation of La.R.S.14:64 and two counts of second degree kidnapping, a violation of La. R.S.14:44.1. A twelve member jury found him guilty on all three counts. After a motion for a new trial was denied, Oliver waived delays and was sentenced on the robbery count to serve 50 years at hard labor and on the kidnapping counts to serve 15 years...
