This appeal arises from a judgment of the Ross County Common Pleas Court, Probate Division. Petitioners-appellees Charles Hudnell and Florence Hudnell sought to adopt the son of Florence Hudnell, Robert Shane Davis. The trial court concluded that the consent of the biological father, appellant Robert A. Davis, was unnecessary because appellant had failed to communicate with or support his son for the year preceding the filing of the adoption petition...
