The defendant, Marvin Davis, was indicted by a DeSoto Parish grand jury for manslaughter, a violation LSA-R.S. 14:31. After a jury trial, he was convicted as charged. The trial court sentenced defendant to serve ten years imprisonment at hard labor with credit for time served. The trial court denied a timely motion to reconsider sentence.
