The defendant, David Caraway, was indicted by a Union Parish grand jury for the offense of second degree murder, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30.1. Pursuant to a plea agreement, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to manslaughter, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:31.
