Tyrone Nichols participated in a drug conspiracy engaged in transporting multi-kilogram quantities of cocaine between Chicago and Milwaukee. In 1989, he was convicted by a jury of conspiracy to possess cocaine with the intent to distribute, in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841 and 846, and interstate travel with the intent to promote a drug offense, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1952.
