THIBODEAUX, Judge.

The defendant, Clebe O'Neal Stutes, appeals his conviction for second degree kidnapping of his nephew's girlfriend and his sentence of twenty-five years at hard labor, two of which are to be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.

The defendant argues that the evidence was insufficient to sustain a conviction and the trial court erroneously denied a new trial based on newly discovered evidence.
