Defendant, Cedric L. Robinson, was charged by bill of information with theft of goods valued less than $100.00 in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:67 and with criminal trespass, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:63. The charges arose out of a shoplifting incident which occurred at an A & P grocery store in Marrero on September 26, 1993.
