Defendants, Timothy Girod and Otis Magee, were charged jointly by bill of information with attempted first degree murder, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30. Magee was also charged with illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (Count II), pursuant to LSA-R.S. 14:95.1. Both defendants pled not guilty. After a joint jury trial, Girod was found guilty as charged and Magee was found guilty of the responsive verdict of attempted second degree...
