The Jefferson Parish Grand Jury returned an indictment on February 10, 1994 charging the defendant was in possession of heroin with intent to distribute, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:966. When arraigned on the charge on March 25, 1994, the defendant entered a plea of not guilty. On July 15, 1994, the trial court heard motions to suppress confession and evidence. At the conclusion of the hearing, the trial court denied the motion to suppress confession...
