Defendant Ernesto Rendon was charged by information, filed in the District Court for the First Judicial District in Lewis and Clark County, with felony assault, in violation of § 45-5-201(1)(a) and (3), MCA. Following a nonjury trial, he was found guilty of the crime charged. Rendon was sentenced to serve five years in the Montana State Prison.
