Maurice Jones was tried non-jury and was found guilty of first degree murder, possession of an instrument of crime, abuse of a corpse, escape and resisting arrest.1 Post-trial motions were denied, and Jones was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder and to concurrent terms of imprisonment for possessing an instrument of crime and escape.
