The issue on review is whether a parent can recover for loss of the society and companionship of an adult child whose injuries allegedly resulted from medical malpractice. The court of appeals, believing that a parent's cause of action for lost society and companionship was limited to minor children, upheld the trial court's order granting defendants' motion for summary judgment.
