The State of Louisiana appeals from an adverse trial court judgment in an action brought pursuant to the Uniform Reciprocal Enforcement of Support Act (URESA), R.S. 13:1641 et seq.

Frank Clancy Dupepe, Sr. and Susan Fautt Dupepe were married and later divorced. On July 24, 1983, the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans rendered a judgment, ordering Mr. Dupepe to pay Mrs. Dupepe child support in the amount of $1000.00 per month...
