Appellee, Roger Meloy Carter, was indicted by the Jefferson County Grand Jury for the offense of possession of a controlled substance, to wit: cocaine. Appellee filed a motion to suppress evidence complaining of police officers, Alton Baise and Detective Levy, seizing cocaine from the appellee pursuant to a search of his person without a warrant.
