This appeal raises an issue of the liability a paper mill owner for injuries incurred by a truck driver who was an employee of an independent contractor. Edward Dempsey sued for damages, alleging that Mead Coated Board, Inc., had negligently or wantonly caused his personal injury, and his wife, Rebecca Dempsey, made a derivative claim for loss of consortium.
