This appeal arises from a jury award to plaintiffs for injuries and loss of consortium caused by an automobile accident.

While relocating a utility pole on March 7, 1990, defendant, Beauregard Electric Cooperative (Beauregard) temporarily obstructed one side of a rural highway, thus narrowing the road to one lane.
