This lawsuit arises from an altercation between plaintiffs and Lon Fleetwood, a Mississippi River Bridge Authority (MRBA) officer. Following a jury trial, judgment was rendered in favor of plaintiff, Robert Garrett, Sr., (Garrett) and against Fleetwood. Judgment was also rendered by the trial court in favor of plaintiffs Garrett, Dora Garrett and Robert Garrett, Jr. against the State of Louisiana (State) on behalf of the MRBA.
