OPINION

JONES, Judge.

The appellant, Earl Raines, was convicted of murder in the second degree, a Class A felony, by a jury of his peers. The trial court, finding the appellant to be a standard offender, imposed a Range I sentence of twenty-five (25) years confinement in the Department of Correction.
