Memorandum Findings of Fact and Opinion

WELLS, Judge:

Respondent determined deficiencies in petitioner's Federal income taxes in the amounts of $27,227, $17,013, and $31,072 for taxable years 1986, 1987, and 1989, respectively.

The issues in the instant case arise out of what petitioner contends was a disguised romantic relationship but was in fact a fraudulent scheme by Christopher Griffin to obtain money and property from petitioner. The issues...
