Jose Cortina (defendant) was charged by bill of information with two counts of forgery. LSA-R.S. 14:72. He initially pled not guilty to the charges, but subsequently changed his pleas to guilty as charged. After a Boykin hearing, the trial court accepted defendant's guilty pleas.
