WALKER, Chief Justice.

This appeal originates from a conviction for the felony offense of Attempted Capital Murder. The record reflects that following selection of the jury, appellant pleaded guilty and elected for that body to assess his punishment. The trial court's judgment reflects that the jury assessed punishment at sixty (60) years' confinement in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
