WHICHARD, Justice.

Following a capital trial defendant was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of James Smith and of voluntary manslaughter in the death of Ted Cook. The jury recommended a sentence of life imprisonment for the murder conviction. The trial court entered judgment accordingly and imposed a sentence of twenty years for the manslaughter conviction.
