Defendant, Randy L. Daniels, was charged via bill of information with one count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, in violation of LSA-R.S. 40:967. A 10-2 jury found him guilty on a responsive verdict of attempted possession with intent to distribute, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:27 and 40:967. He was sentenced to serve 108 months in prison, pursuant to the Louisiana sentencing guidelines. Daniels appeals his conviction and sentence...
