Defendants, Automotive Casualty Insurance Company and its insured, Reginald Sampson, suspensively appealed the district court judgment of June 15, 1992, in favor of plaintiff, Verbon Hill, in the total sum of $8,756.86 with legal interest and costs. This award consists of $3,000 in punitive or exemplary damages under LSA-C.C. art. 2315.4. Automotive Casualty was placed in liquidation by order signed January 20, 1993.
