These consolidated appeals present two related issues stemming from a truly novel set of facts. George Souran appeals the district court's entry of summary judgment dismissing his negligence action against The Travelers Insurance Company (Travelers), his deceased daughter's life insurance carrier. Souran and his lawyers also appeal the court's imposition of Fed.R.Civ.P. 11 sanctions against them. We find that the court improvidently granted both...
