The grand jury indicted a number of persons for conspiring to distribute cocaine and for related offenses. Several of those indicted pled guilty but three were tried jointly and convicted. The appeal of one of those convicted is decided today in a separate decision. United States v. Moran, 984 F.2d 1299 (1st Cir.1993).
