During the trial of defendants Mike Tagle Rena (Rena, Sr.) and his son Mike Rena, Jr. (Rena, Jr.), the jurors were allowed to review transcripts of recorded telephone conversations which included the impressions of transcribers. Both defendants argue that the district court committed reversible error in allowing the jurors to see that extraneous material.
