Defendant appeals his conviction by a jury of first degree burglary § 569.160, RSMo 1986, and second degree robbery, § 569.030, RSMo 1986. He was sentenced by the court as a prior and persistent offender to terms of twenty-three years' imprisonment on the burglary charge and eight years on the robbery charge, to be served concurrently.
