PER CURIAM:

According to respondent Simpson's petition for a writ of habeas corpus, a criminal complaint was filed on October 2, 1991, charging Simpson with one count of leaving the scene of an accident. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for January 17, 1992, at which time Simpson appeared with his attorney, ready to proceed.
