Appellant, Ronald Anthony Manno, was tried and convicted at a bench trial in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County (Turnbull, J.) of first degree murder, use of a handgun in the commission of a felony, use of a handgun in the commission of a crime of violence, and common law assault. The trial judge merged Counts III and IV (use of a handgun in the commission of a crime of violence and assault) into the first two counts and, on May 27, 1992, imposed...
