In this criminal case, the defendant, Andrew Harper, appeals his conviction and sentence.

The State charged the defendant by bill of information filed on December 20, 1990, with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, to wit: cocaine, in violation of LSA-R.S. 40:967(A). The defendant pled not guilty. The trial began on August 21, 1991, and on the following day the jury returned with a verdict of guilty as charged. On October 24, 1991...
