Justice O'CONNOR delivered the opinion of the court:

Defendant, Larry Braddock, was charged by information with criminal sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual assault, home invasion, and residential burglary. He waived his right to a jury trial and, following trial, was found guilty of criminal sexual assault. The circuit court sentenced him to a nine and one half year prison term. He appeals.
