Defendant, Peter Murphy, pleaded guilty to first degree murder and later moved to withdraw his plea. Following an evidentiary hearing, the trial court denied the motion because defendant failed to prove that he had received ineffective assistance of counsel or that he had defenses worthy of consideration.
