Defendant, Clarence Stevenson, was charged by bill of information with attempted first degree murder, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:27 (30), and armed robbery, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64. After a jury found the defendant guilty as charged on both counts, the trial judge sentenced him to fifty years at hard labor on each count. These sentences were ordered to be served consecutively and the armed robbery sentence was ordered to be served...
