In June 1989 the New York Drug Enforcement Task Force ("task force") began an investigation of the drug-trafficking activities of Adolfo Crespo, Doris Lasanta, Luis Rivera, Juan Cardona, and Eladio Gonzalez. After indictment, and as part of a plea agreement, Adolfo Crespo and his common-law wife, Doris Lasanta, agreed to testify against the three remaining defendants...
